Moose with her calf

Here is a still from those two that came out and “Jumped” in the water right in front of me in my kayak the other day up on Iron Lake (actually, “Little Iron Lake” here). A cute picture of mama encircling little calf for protection!

This was from a group of pictures that I took when they swam out to me in my kayak, and then veered back to shore, and back in the woods, and I found them here, 10 minutes later munching on more lake weeds, down the way! I seem to be a magnet for mama cows and their calves… I always seem to be at just the right place at just the right time. What a lucky guy!!
